Karen Mills is our OH advisor and stepped in to deliver a session on the Menopause to our staff at the last moment due to unforeseen circumstances, which was very much appreciated. 

The session she delivered was extremely informative, covering all aspects of the Menopause from symptoms and what we can do to alleviate this. Karen also signposted where we can go to find more information and help.

Just talking about how it can affect you with your colleagues seems to help breakdown the stigma of the subject and you realise how many others are also finding it difficult to cope. Understanding about the subject can really help.  The feedback we received from staff after the session was so positive.  Karen also sent us a symptom checker and a quiz  which again staff have commented how helpful it was.  She provided some useful links, including a free app and referenced an author.          

This is something we will do again as part of our staff welfare policy.
